CGP session during the Nikkei SDGs Festival in NYC

The CGP project, in partnership with the xSDG Laboratory at Keio University, hosted a session titled " Is Transformation for Sustainable Consumption and Production Possible? Challenges in Food and Fashion?" at the Nikkei SDGs Festival held on July 11-12 at the Japan Society. This annual event, organized by Nikkei Inc. and Nikkei BP, aimed to showcase efforts towards achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The festival took place in New York, coinciding with the High-Level Political Forum at the United Nations Headquarters. Distinguished individuals from various sectors including government officials, academics, business executives, and other experts, participated in discussions and deliberations on pertinent topics related to SDGs.

The session featured esteemed guest speakers from reputable organizations, including Japan Airlines, Citigroup, and Itochu Fashion System, who were joined by Professors Kanie and Fisher. The speakers emphasized the significance of upscaling good practices to expedite the transformation towards a sustainable society. Furthermore, they stressed the importance of collaboration that transcends national and regional boundaries as a means of accelerating sustainability transformation.
